Lowell Ave. House Fire
Sunday, January 19, 2014
Just after 6pm on Sunday the Salisbury Fire Department was alerted for a house fire on Lowell Ave. Enroute to the call the 911 center advised they were taking multiple calls, advising of a 'working fire'. E2 & E16-1 arrived in the area and found a small fire that was contained to the exterior of the structure. AC-1 (Gladwell) arrived and established Command. A neighbor, using two garden hoses, had extinguished the majority of the fire. The crews of E2 and E16-1 performed overhaul and checked for extension inside of the structure. Command returned all other units. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Crews cleared within an hour.
