On February 23, 2022, the Salisbury Fire Department along with Hebron Fire Department was alerted for a reported house fire in the 900 block of North Division Street. Communications advised all responding units that they have reports of occupants trapped inside. Deputy Chief Darrin Scott arrived on location with fire showing and a female occupant trapped on the second floor roof. Truck 2 arrived on location and the crew performed search and rescue operations on the second floor for a reported second occupant still inside.
Sergeant Nick Bond threw a 16-foot ladder to the front porch roof of the building. Sergeant Nick Bond climbed the ladder and assisted the occupant to safety while the fire vented out multiple second floor windows. The occupant was safely moved to an EMS unit and evaluated by EMS personnel. The entire house was searched by the crew of Truck 2 and it was confirmed that no other occupants were inside.
Congratulations

to all! Thank you for your service and dedication to the City of Salisbury and the Salisbury Fire Department.
