Salisbury Fire Department

Chief's Message

“The End of Another Great Year…the Beginning of a Better One”

In closing, the men and women of the Salisbury Fire Department are proud to provide a tradition of excellent public safety service to the residents of the Salisbury Fire District.  Thank you for your continued support and please know that your service is valued and much appreciated.  As we look forward to another great year, we will continue to remain focused on the mission, core values, and vision for our department. I look forward, with great confidence that we will ultimately be a truly integrated combination fire service that provides the very best in public safety.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about the Salisbury Fire Department.  Our rich history dates back to before 1872 and carries through to the technologically advanced world of the fire service today.  It is my honor and privilege to be able to lead this great organization.  Our department has the very best firefighters, EMT's, Paramedics, and Officers in the world.  You can rest easy, knowing that whatever your emergency is, it will be handled by these professionals.  We are blessed with an extensive, modern fleet of apparatus that is outfitted with the most current technology to ensure a rapid, safe response to your call for help.  Our Fire Marshal's Office works day in and day out to ensure that new and existing construction is as fire safe as possible.  They review building plans, inspect businesses and fire protection systems, issue permits, oversee our fire prevention education programs, enforce codes, and investigate for the causal factors of fires.  Their work adds a tremendous level of safety for the visitors to our community and the citizens that live here.  The Salisbury Wicomico Integrated Firstcare Team (SWIFT), along with our Minor Definitive Care Now (MDCN) personnel, provide an added level of service that seeks to reduce and prevent repeat emergency calls for medical help and unnecessary transports.  The community outreach and hands-on work they do, provides an invaluable service to our community that positively impacts the entire healthcare system for this area.  The Salisbury Fire Department is here for you, please take the time to stop by our museum at Fire Headquarters to learn more about our rich history and tradition.

Respectfully,

Rob Frampton, Fire Chief
